Acne Extractions

Acne cysts are often persistent and painful. In some cases, small injections of cortisone will be helpful. Larger cysts may benefit from “drainage and extraction.” These simple procedures help with pain and reduce duration.

“Black heads” or open comedones and “white heads” or closed comedones may also benefit from medical extractions if they are persistent and do not respond to topical medications.
