Juvéderm® Ultra and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus are hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers that reduce the appearance of wrinkles and restore volume in the lips and cheeks. Juvéderm® products are manufactured using Hylacross™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel and infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. Young, healthy skin has plenty of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, a major component of the extracellular matrix, the gel-like material that surrounds our skin cells and keeps them youthful. HA also attracts water from within the dermis and moves it to the skin surface. Hyaluronic acid and other glycosaminoglycans play an important role in skin elasticity, tone, metabolism, regeneration, and wound healing.

Volbella®, Vollure®, and Voluma® all utilize VYCROSS™ technology, a combination of both low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. As our skin ages over time, it loses it’s natural abundance of hyaluronic acid, seen as decreased facial volume, decreased tone and increased lines and folds. Dr. Dolev uses both Volbella® and Juvéderm® to restore a youthful contour to lips and fine lines throughout the face. While Vollure® and Voluma® are typically placed in the mid face or along the cheekbones to lift and restore flatness, Volux™ improves jaw definition.
